WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT

Guiding You On the Path of Self-Discovery, Healing and Empowerment

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support.

It is important to find a counsellor who is the right fit for you. I offer a free 20 minute consultation in order for us to connect, answer any questions you may have, and for you to get a sense of what our work together will look like.

Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. In my counselling sessions, I promote behavioral transformation by creating a safe and empowering environment that supports the expression of authentic thoughts and feelings.

Many people suffer throughout their lives due to unresolved pain, maladaptive coping strategies, and a distorted sense of self that can lead to disruptive patterns over and over again. Whether you’re going through a 'rut', struggling in your marriage, or trying to overcome a deep sense of shame and unworthiness - I have the tools and professional experience to assist you in charting a new path that honors your true self.

ABOUT ME

Jeff Headshot.png

My name is Jeffrey Glenn and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.  I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria.

I have always had a passion for supporting and empowering others.  The most satisfying therapeutic work in my career has been assisting clients to break free from their negative self-perceptions and invalidating narratives in order to honor their authentic selves and reach their true potential.

I work with a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, anger (emotion) management, self-esteem & self-worth, grief & loss, boundaries & assertiveness (communication), and life stage or transitional challenges (retirement or separation/divorce support).

I spent many years early in my career working within the correctional and parole systems with both male and female offenders. In recent years my focus has been working with clients through Employee Assistance Programs as well as in a post secondary environment supporting domestic and international students.

I have been trained in a variety of modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).

PRIVATE COUNSELLING

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and change unhelpful thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-frame” your thinking and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. In addition, we will explore the root struggles that often lead to unhealthy patterns in relationships with others and with ourselves.
